Shifting Focus

It has been a hell of a ride over the past 6 years. Covid, Addiction, Bryan being laid off, Bryan receiving a Parkinson’s Disease Diagnosis. Yuck to all of it. I have days I wonder how much more I can handle and then I realize people have handled harder things.

I believe we seek balance through therapy, education and engaging in what brings us life.

This journey has been a long, hard road. I for years had focused primarily on Diabetes Prevention Coaching.

What I have come to see with my own eyes and living my own experience is that we need more coaching to support those who love people with SUD. In my case a child with SUD.

I completed ITC(Invitation to Change) facilitator training and am co-facilitating a group in South Minneapolis. I also completed CRAFT(Community Reinforcement and Family Training) and will be going through Peer Recovery Support training in June.

If you find yourself in the space where you are needing support through the loving of someone with SUD, reach out and I will help you how it makes sense for you while using an approach that leads with love, kindness, and compassion.
